About the Give2Inspire Dreams Grant Program
Patrick Surtain II’s Give2Inspire Dreams Grant Program supports middle and high school teachers in delivering creative, student-centered learning experiences. Grants are intended to enhance classrooms by providing technology, educational tools, and resources that inspire student creativity, problem-solving, and engagement in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education.
This initiative reflects The Patrick Surtain II Foundation’s commitment to equitable access to high-quality educational experiences for all students, particularly in underserved schools.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants/teachers must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be a full-time middle or high school teacher (not a substitute) in the Denver, CO area or the Front Range of Colorado.
- Teach at a Title I or low-income school in Colorado.
- Request funds for use within their classroom or school-based program.
- Submit a completed application with specific, itemized requests tied to curriculum goals.
- Request funding for future purchases to be implemented during the 2025–26 school year. Reimbursements for past purchases will not be considered.
Grant TERMS & USE OF FUNDS
Grant Amount: Up to $2,000 per awarded applicant/teacher.
Payment Structure: Grant funds will be paid directly to certified vendors for the approved goods and services outlined in the application. Teachers will not receive funds directly.
All purchases must be pre-approved by The Patrick Surtain II Foundation.
Any equipment purchased through the grant will remain with the designated teacher as long as they are actively employed as a teacher at a school within Denver or the state of Colorado. Should the teacher retire, transition to a non-teaching role, or relocate out of state, the equipment will become the property of the school to which the grant was originally awarded. It is the teacher’s responsibility to ensure that all grant-funded items are returned to the school in such cases.
Grant funds may only be used for items or resources that directly support classroom instruction and student learning outcomes.
Misuse of funds or misrepresentation of eligibility may result in grant revocation, ineligibility for future funding, and possible notification to the school district or appropriate authorities.
